ABOUT THE ROLE

As our Front Office & Housekeeping Manager, you are the face of the Front Office and the driving force behind the quality and presentation of our guest rooms. Your mission is to ensure every guest experiences Amsterdam like a local: authentic, surprising, per-sonal, and unforgettable.

From arrival to departure, you create a seamless and memorable guest journey together with your teams. You lead both the Front Office and Housekeeping departments with energy, empathy, and attention to detail, ensuring service, quality, and cleanliness standards consistently reflect the NYX brand.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

• Lead Front Office & Housekeeping Teams – Manage two dynamic teams and ensure a seamless guest experience, from a warm welcome to a perfectly prepared room.

• City Expert – You know Amsterdam better than anyone, from hidden courtyards and underground clubs to emerging designers and the city's best late-night food spots. You actively share your knowledge with guests and inspire your team to do the same.

• Create Memorable Guest Journeys – Ensure every guest feels seen, heard, and pleasantly surprised. Personalize recommendations and create unique “NYX Mo-ments”.

• Quality & Cleanliness Champion – Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and upkeep across guest rooms and public areas.

• Partner with Local Gems – Build relationships with museums, restaurants, concept stores, and cultural hotspots to offer guests exclusive recommendations, deals, and ex-periences.

• Operational Excellence – Oversee the daily operation, including check-in, check-out, guest communication, room readiness, housekeeping planning, and service delivery.

• Brand Ambassador – Ensure that every guest interaction and hotel experience re-flects the NYX personality: bold, creative, spirited, and warm.

• Guest Feedback & Continuous Improvement – Monitor guest satisfaction, analyse feedback, and translate insights into meaningful improvements.

• Work Cross-Departmentally – Collaborate closely with F&B, Maintenance, Market-ing, and the Experience Team to continuously enhance the overall guest journey.

• Team Development – Coach, motivate, and develop Front Office and Housekeeping team members while fostering a positive, high-performing work environment.

WHO YOU ARE

• Minimum 2 to 4 years of experience in Front Office, Guest Relations, or Housekeeping, including at least 1 year in a leadership role.

• A true Amsterdam enthusiast with a strong knowledge of local hotspots, hidden gems, and cultural highlights.

• A natural storyteller who can inspire guests through enthusiasm and authenticity.

• Strong hospitality leadership skills: empathetic, clear, motivating, and service-ori-ented.

• Well organised, able to remain calm under pressure, and always thinking one step ahead.

• Passionate about creating happiness for guests and delivering exceptional experi-ences.

• Fluent in English. Dutch is a strong advantage; additional languages are welcome.
