WHAT MAKES YOUR DAY AS A MEETING & EVENT COORDINATOR SO EXCITING?
As a Meeting & Events Coordinator, you work together with the team on organizing and planning groups and events for Leonardo Hotel Ijmuiden Seaport Beach. This includes meetings, conferences, dinners, and various other events.

A FEW RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maximizing revenue and guest satisfaction by responding quickly and adequately to requests, converting inquiries, and delivering successful events.

• Demonstrating commercial insight and strategically executing group and event pricing and planning.

• Communicating clearly, both verbally and in writing, with clients and internal departments regarding agreements and event execution.

• Managing meetings and events from A to Z.

• Handling contracts correctly, ensuring deposits are secured, and being jointly responsible for accurate invoicing.

• Coordinating menu arrangements for clients that maximize revenue potential for the hotel while meeting the client’s needs.
  

Leonardo Hotel IJmuiden Seaport Beach

The Leonardo Hotel IJmuiden Seaport Beach has 146 hotel rooms and suites, including family rooms and luxurious Wellness Suites. Our rooms are bright and spacious, with wood accents and large windows that let in light. Most hotel rooms and suites have a balcony overlooking the Kennemermeer lake or the marina. Our hotel is pet-friendly. Guests who wish to come with their four-legged friends are therefore very welcome.

However, they are not permitted in our restaurant and Wellness Suites. If you have been outside all day, you can relax in our gym, sauna and Turkish bath. Those who are environmentally conscious will be pleased to know that the Leonardo Hotel IJmuiden Seaport Beach participates in the Green Key programme. This programme records the hotel's impact on the environment.

WHAT MAKES YOU A GREAT ADDITION TO OUR TEAM

• At least 1 year of experience in Event Management

• Bachelor-level working and thinking capability (HBO) and preferably a hospitality-related education (Hotel Management School, Facility Management, NHTV)

• Strong command of the Dutch and English languages, both spoken and written

• A creative and positive mindset, and you don’t take “no” for an answer

• Professional, service-oriented, and a true team player

• Strong communication skills and the ability to build new connections easily

• Ability to think strategically, strong numerical insight, and capable of taking the lead

• Own means of transportation

To be considered for this role, applicants must be an EU citizen or hold a valid work permit for the Netherlands.
