Jan Luyken is a townhouse in the heart of Amsterdam, where the Museum Quarter meets the city's most elegant shopping street. At Jan Luyken, we offer guests more than just a hotel room. We invite guests to enjoy our spaces as if they were their own, and everything guests need for a comfortable stay is included. Jan Luyken Amsterdam is looking for a dedicated House Host to join the team.

Our House Host plays a pivotal role in delivering Jan Luyken's hospitality and guest experience. At Jan Luyken, we have reimagined the standard stay experience, crafting an environment and ambiance that mirrors the familiarity, comfort, and hospitality found in the home of a close friend. You will be joining a small, creative, and close-knit team in bringing this brand to life. This role is perfect for you if you are a natural people person. You are warm, open, and welcoming. You love to converse with people and are enthusiastic about the city of Amsterdam and all the culture it has to offer.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING
• You are the first point of contact for guests, assisting with check-ins, check-outs and questions.
• You share recommendations and offer to make reservations.
• You take calls and handle room reservation requests.
• You help guests with luggage and ensure a warm farewell.
• You support the breakfast service and assist in the lobby when needed.
• You maintain a clean and welcoming environment.

WHO ARE YOU
• You always put the guest first.
• You are flexible, energetic and calm in any situation.
• You have experience as a receptionist; F&B experience is a plus.
• You work well independently and in a team.
• You are proactive, responsible and a real go-getter.
• Experience with reservation systems and first aid is an advantage.
• You speak fluent Dutch and English; additional languages are a plus.
• At least two years of hospitality experience.
• You can easily travel to work at all times.
